A Full House to Witness the Mastery of Tony McManus
Tony McManus delivered two long sets and an encore that had the crowd in awe of the performance. Tony's numbers tend to the traditional in nature, his ability to deliver everything from the subtle and soothing to the highly technical and intricate was hard to believe. In between numbers, there were a number of stories that hit upon topic ranging from song origins in the 1600s to one footed pedicures.
Many songs would fade into complete silence before the audience would erupt into applause, yelps and whistles. The room was so respectful that the event the quietest of refrains could be heard clearly. It really was something.
There was lively as well, Ian Clarke was called from the audience and jumped on stage to play a couple numbers with Tony to great effect and raucous applause.
The icing on the cake had to be the guitars, pieces of art all. The stories of origin were incredible and the pedigree of the instruments was an honour in and of itself. Exceeded only by the opportunity to watch them played so effortlessly.
Wonderful. Photos will follow.
Cheers,
Adam
