Maeve MacKinnon and her 'Wee Tour of Canada' drop in for a visit.

Maeve MacKinnon and Ewan MacPherson made a stop in to the SchoolHouse Stage on Wednesday March 10th to bring a little bit (more) Scotland here to McNab/Braeside and Robbie Burns Town.

The evening was an experience to be sure, not only were we treated her beautiful voice and joyous accent, we were also treated to Gaelic songs in Gaelic. Well, I imagine they were anyway; Gaelic is not my first language. Several times we were encouraged to sing along and it proved difficult! Luckily, the songs were best sung by Maeve perched on her stool and accompanied beautifully by Ewan. It was a real pleasure to meet and hear Maeve sing.
